Alaminos is a heart-shaped upland municipality which lies within 121 15' latitude and 14 00' longtitude. It is bounded on the North by Calauan and Bay, on the South by the municipality San Pablo City and on the West by Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

    The town of Alaminos is 78 kilometers away from Manila and 8 kilometers away from San Pablo City. It is traversed by Daang Maharlika and is connected directly to Manila through the South Luzon Tollway.

    It is composed of 15 barangays. Barangay Poblacion represents the four (4) urban barangays namely: Barangay Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro. The remaining eleven barangays are considered rural.

    The total land area of Alaminos based on the consolidated Barangay Index Maps is 5,476 hectares. San Gregorio accounts for the biggest area which is 840.6190 hectares. Sta. Rosa is the second biggest barangay with an area of 802.28 hectares.
